Keeping our beaches clean
Beaches are the gateway to the ocean and home to many species; therefore, it is very important to keep them clean. Colleagues from the Vista Playa de Oro hotel actively participated on September 30 in a day’s cleaning, and we thank joggers who joined us during their morning exercise. 21 jumbo sized bags of trash were collected. Most of the waste found was plastic soda bottles, disposable cups and polystyrene. Large pieces of wood and sticks were also removed.
There will soon be another activity to sieve the sand and finish collecting the remaining polystyrene, which can unfortunately be found in large quantities.
